About The Role
The Data Product Manager develops and executes a clear strategy addressing various data needs, considering both behavioral and transactional data for Alef. They facilitate data-driven research to gain insights, set clear objectives, and establish milestones aligned with strategic goals. Additionally, they assist product line leads and product managers in defining and monitoring key business and product success metrics, continuously evaluating performance and advocating for data-informed improvements. Supporting the data engineering and BI teams, they promote cohesion and encourage cross-functional collaboration to achieve shared objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a clear direction around the different data needs; for Alef strategically, from our customers and for the product. Holistically looking into both behavioral and transactional data.
- Facilitate data-driven research for discovery to acquire insights and establish clear objectives
- and milestones aligned with overarching strategic goals.
- Help product line leads and product managers to set and monitor critical business and product success metrics, continuously evaluating product performance and advocating for data-informed enhancements.
- Support the data engineering & BI team, promoting cohesion and encouraging cross-functional collaboration to achieve shared objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and streamline data-related communication and requests throughout the organization
To Be The Right Fit, You'll Need
- Bachelor/Master degree related to product development such as Computer science, Business, psychology or a related field.
- Min. 5 years in product management of which at least 3 years focused on data streams in Saas products.
- Experience with analyzing the performance of a product and / or feature using metrics.
- Vast understanding of the fundamentals of the data lifecycle, data warehouse, business intelligence and big data.
- Familiarity with various data analytics tools.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies, and agile management tools like Jira.
- Knowledge with tools like Amplitude preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in English and Arabic
